Hop onboard Pennsylvania’s version of the polar express and fill your weekend with some holiday cheer! The Steamtown National Historic Site will be celebrating the season with another year of “Holiday Express” train excursions from Scranton to Moscow, Pennsylvania on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, November 24th, 25th, and 26th.
This fun-filled locomotive adventure is great beginning to the winter holiday season, with a festive atmosphere featuring caroling aboard the train as guests travel through the beautiful Pennsylvania scenery to Moscow, where the “big guy in the red suit” will be waiting! At the restored freight station, adults can help their youngsters write letters for Santa to take with him to the North Pole, participate in the holiday arts and crafts projects, see a model train and village exhibit, and even take selfies with jolly old St. Nick! Light refreshments and souvenirs will be available for all to enjoy, making it a special seasonal event that has excitement for all ages.
